THE STAGE
was set and the guitars fine-tuned. The band members were taking a break
backstage. The moment you begin to interact with them, you realise that
these guys are on a mission.
The
Red Rain band, which is now on a tour of India, comprises Michael Turner,
founder and lead vocalist, Dave, lead guitarist, Stephen Turner (Michael's
brother), bass guitarist, and David Pfansteel, drummer. About the tour,
Michael says, "We go round the world sharing and spreading the message
of hope and love.
The
band also hopes to change the stereotyped image of a rock band as being
always influenced by drugs.
Dave
says their band wishes to "make the world a better place to live".
He adds, "And it is this wish that gives us the strength to carry
on our endeavour." Their focus, says Michael, is always on mitigating
the pain and suffering among all age groups. David Pfanstiel, who joined
Red Rain during their tour of the United States, says, "People should
be willing to use their talent for the larger cause of society
The
band, which has been inspired by U2, is now two albums( "`New Day"
and" Symphony') old
